World's MOST FUN hotel? Bosses install 30-metre SLIDE for guests to zip between floors

A QUIRKY hotel has installed a huge £100,000 slide to let guests slip between floors.

The sleek RedDot Hotel in Taichung City, Taiwan installed the 30-metre long spiral slide in July 2014 after seeking inspiration from Google's unique US offices.

General Manager Steven Wu, who designed the slide, which spirals from the second floor to the first floor, described the difficulties the hotel faced installing the slippery attraction.

"When it was transported to the hotel it was divided into four major segments," said the 42-year-old.
"It was a big feat of engineering, we really feel a sense of achievement that we accomplished it.
"We asked five craftsmen to make it before we found someone who would do it. That's how difficult it was."
The spiral slide consists of 102 stainless steel sheets adding to the boutique feel of the hotel.

The RedDot features an array of unusual furniture and ornaments, including a barber chairs adorning the lobby.
Steven said: "Each time passengers slide down they laugh out loud and enjoy it.
"With the stainless steel and accompanying neon lights, it becomes a tunnel which brings back memories of childhood.
"I truly believe that the slide is not simply for fun but rather it is a symbolic object reserving time and space for travellers."
